Never Caught Holds was inspired by all the beautiful cliffs and places that nature has to offer. All those undiscovered holds, most of which will surely never be discovered. It’s this sense of inaccessibility that drives us forward, pushing the barriers of imagination beyond those of reality. It’s when dreams predominate over reality that boundaries crumble and the unexpected takes place. At Never Caught Holds we like to go where we’re not expected, so we don’t take anyone’s place and create our own reality.

We want every route setter and climber to enjoy a unique experience. We want them to feel listened to and taken into consideration. We’re climbers ourselves, and that’s why we pay so much attention to the quality of every hold that leaves our factory. That’s why we do everything by hand, we make our own hold-making machines, our own shapes and all holds are carefully crafted, painted and textured by hand. Nothing is subcontracted until the holds leave our workshops.

We pay particular attention to the technological advances in manufacturing and materials that exist and are coming. In fact, we’re always testing new products or new combinations of materials. It’s because it’s important to think about the world we’ll be leaving to our children that we pay so much attention to these issues. It’s for this reason that we use a minimum of short-lived, non-recyclable resins in our grips, and prefer to manufacture them from ABS thermoplastic so that they are recyclable and the grip can be renewed in our workshops or at your home.
